Symptom Overview

Typical male pattern baldness with receding hairline and visible crown/vertex. It often starts around the age of 25 and escalates over time.

Causes

Genetic factors play a significant role. The hair gene is located on the X chromosome and is inherited from the dominant X chromosomes from the mother and secondarily from the father. The process can be accelerated by conditions described in points 10, 11, and 12.
